Every user of the PJWSTK domain can have their own website on the school server.
How to upload your website?
Choose Method
There are two ways to upload your files. SFTP is recommended for all users.
- Option A (Recommended): Log in via SFTP to the server sftp.pjwstk.edu.pl (e.g., using WinSCP).
- Option B (Warsaw Only): Place files directly on the Z:\ network drive in the public_html directory.
Note: Users with accounts in Bytom and Gdańsk must use SFTP.
Prepare Files
Upload your website files to the correct directory:
- SFTP:
USERNAME/www - Network Drive:
Z:\public_html
Requirement
The website must start with a file named
index.html, index.htm, or index.php.Verification
Your website will be available at:
http://users.pjwstk.edu.pl/~USERNAME
(Replace USERNAME with your actual domain username)
Technical Requirements
Standards & Best Practices
- Encoding: It is recommended to encode the website in UTF-8.
- Syntax: Check if your site is syntactically correct after uploading.
- Image: Remember that the appearance of the website reflects on its author.
Server Usage Rules
Prohibited Content
It is forbidden to upload:
- Commercial websites
- Content that is religious, political, harmful, inappropriate, immoral, or illegal
- Commercial advertisements unrelated to PJATK
- Unwanted messages (spam)
Consequences
Violation of these rules will result in:
- First violation: Account suspension.
- Subsequent violation: Notification of university authorities.
