Employee Account Lock

Common Reasons

Accounts are typically locked for the following reasons:

  1. Expired Password: Passwords are valid for 6 months. Failure to change it results in a lock.
  2. Contract End: Automatic lock when an employee contract terminates. Educator accounts are extended based on class schedules.
  3. Security Breach: Temporary lock (usually 24h) if the system detects suspicious activity. If it lasts longer, the account may be compromised.

How to Check Lock Status

Visit Password Manager

Go to haslo.pjwstk.edu.pl.

Check Status

Enter only your Login in the panel on the left side to see the account status and lock reason.

Password Expiration

Expired Password? If your password has expired, use haslo.pjwstk.edu.pl to change it. Note: The account lock does not prevent you from changing an expired password.

Effects of a Lock

When your account is locked:

  • You cannot log in to university computers.
  • Most internal services will be unavailable.
  • You CAN still log in to your email.
  • You CAN still change your password.

Security Breach

Critical Issue If your account is locked due to a Security Breach (and it persists beyond 24 hours), you must contact BSS directly immediately.
